Strains Merchadisimg Expeditions Catalog

After Morocco, they filmed expeditions to India—about the Himalayas and wild Indian landraces; then Malawi, where they discovered African strains for the hot weather; Swaziland, with its ritual plants; Trinidad and St. Vincent in the Caribbean; and Jamaica, home to reggae farms and pure sativas. There were also Colombia, Congo, and Africa in five parts, plus Kings of Cannabis, about legalization. Green House released all of them on DVD: full discs with bonus features like interviews and route maps, priced at around twenty euros. A classic for fans, it never gets old!

Strain Hunters is pure art: a black background with gold or neon accents, like ’90s posters, but with a cannabis theme. Franco Loggia’s photos are sharp and high-contrast: Arjan in the mountains, holding seeds, a jungle, farmers. The text is bold, like Strain Hunters: India Expedition, plus symbols—leaves, world maps, compasses. Collector’s discs come in hardback glossy cases, with engraved serial numbers. They look premium!

After each trip, like Morocco or India, Strain Hunters released limited-edition packs of printed rolling papers: route maps, field photos, strain names like Afghan Kush or Malawian Gold. Thin, yellowish, like old tracing paper, but with watermarks—leaves or compasses. Fans used them not only for smoking, but also as bookmarks in diaries or even as wall frames. A true artifact—a reminder of the risk and the hunt for genetics. Unfortunately, they’re rare to find anywhere now, only at auctions on fan sites!
